Fishing at Lake Crabtree in Morrisville, Cary, (Raleigh-Durham area RDU), NC

Lake Crabtree was formed in 1988 as part of the Crabtree Creek Watershed Flood Control Project, and Lake Crabtree County Park was established in order to maximize the recreational benefits of the impoundment.

Located 276 feet above sea level and with an average of 3-10 feet of depth, Lake Crabtree is a 522 acre lake with several drop off ledges of an average of 18 feet, which can produce excellent results for fishing.

All year round good fishing, several locations to fish from, boat rental, piers, and stocked fish make this a great fishing location for catch and release.
